Operating system? Like Windows?

Windows runs on your machine - ours runs for your business. Windows stays where it is. We're talking about the layer above it: where your jobs, customers, and invoices live.

Doesn't lexoffice/DATEV already scan invoices?

True - for bookkeeping. There, the invoice sits in the accounting folder. With us it sits at the project, with the customer, at the job - where you actually work. And your tax advisor still gets it cleanly.

We already have industry software.

Industry software can do a lot - but only what the vendor built in. We adapt our system to your business, not your business to the software. If something's missing, we build it.

What does it really cost?

From €199 a month, fixed price, no matter how many people. What fits you we work out in a conversation. And if something doesn't add up for you, we tell you - then we leave it out.

And if you disappear tomorrow?

All open systems, your own server, your data. If you cancel, you take everything with you - three months notice, no lock-in contract. If we're no good, you're out.

Is there AI in it?

Yes, where it saves work - invoice processing, for example. It runs on your own server, your data goes to no corporation. We don't do AI theatre - we remove the clicking.

What happens if the server goes down?

We monitor all servers 24/7. Usually we notice problems before you do and fix them proactively. For planned maintenance we inform you in advance. Critical systems have backup mechanisms.

What does it cost if I cancel?

Nothing extra. Cancel anytime with 3 months notice to the end of the month. You get all your data as an export - files as ZIP, database as SQL, email via IMAP migration. The server keeps running for 30 days after cancellation.

What if I hire more employees?

No surcharge. That's one of the biggest differences to standard software. You pay a fixed price for the server - whether 5 or 15 employees work on it doesn't change the price.

Is my data safe?

Yes. Servers in Germany (Hetzner data centers). All connections encrypted. Daily encrypted backups, distributed across multiple locations in Germany. 30-day recovery.

What is open source and why do you use it?

Open source means: the software's source code is public - anyone can read it, review it, and adapt it. For you: no per-employee licence fees, no dependency on a single vendor, software adaptable to your processes.

How does the first conversation go?

You call (or we schedule a time). We listen: what you do, what's annoying, what's missing. No sales pitch, no presentation. After the call we make you a concrete offer - free and no obligation.

How fast do you respond?

Standard: best-effort, Mon-Fri 8am-6pm - you call, we pick up. No ticket system, no bot. The Business edition guarantees a response time under 4 hours. Business Pro too. For critical outages we respond outside those hours too - that's built into the monitoring alert.

Are there setup costs?

Yes, one-time. Starter from €600, Business from €1,200, Business Pro from €2,500 - depending on the effort for migration, configuration, and training. Fixed price, no hourly surprises. You get the setup price in writing before we start.

Do I need to worry about updates?

No - included with the operating system as standard: updates, backups, monitoring. Operating system, applications, containers - all maintained without you having to do anything. You get a short heads-up when major updates are coming.

Which AI do you use - OpenAI, Google?

Neither. We use open models that run on your own server in Germany. Your data never leaves your server - technically impossible, because the model runs locally. Which model exactly we choose per use case. The approach - local, open, your infrastructure - stays the same.

Is this GDPR-compliant?

Yes - by architecture, not by contract clause. All data is processed on your Hetzner server in Germany. No US cloud, no Schrems II risk. The model runs locally and does not train on your data. We provide the DPA and TOMs.

What does IT support cost compared to an IT reseller?

IT resellers usually bill by the hour - €80 to €150 an hour, plus travel time. A ticket system answers your call. With us you pay a fixed price from €199/month - no matter how often you call, no matter how many people are in your business. What you actually need, we work out in a conversation.

Can you set up Nextcloud for us?

Yes. Nextcloud is a fixed part of the operating system - files, photos, calendar, contacts. You get your own Nextcloud server in Germany, set up and maintained. No per-user subscription, no US corporation, your data.
